Memories memories of a long lost place,
No trauma pain could ever erase.
They call me delusional but that’s OK,
I feel nature, the good, the fae.
A winged creature they couldn’t ignore,
A heart of gold they couldn’t bore.
Understandings of different lives,
An ancient one that always survives.
A demon in me that lies await,
For me to crash into an awful state,
At that point it wakes and crawls,
To get to my conscious through the walls.
A bird of flame, a bird of fire,
One true model of which I aspire,
To live forever fearless and free,
A rebirth that holds the renewal key.
They said it’s cancer but I didn’t hear,
I looked at the man, my love sat near,
His face was blank his body numb,
Why did he ignore it, why be so dumb.
Eyes that look at you with desire,
Feeding a hunger they seem to inspire,
With depths of mischief and thoughts of sin,
A tingle, a shiver that starts within.
As you close your eyes at night,
I watch you while you sleep,
I’m there for you whenever you need,
I hold you while you weep.
Blue eyes, blonde hair,
He has a look that can’t compare,
An innocence and a warm glow,
And a smile that makes my blood flow.
Oblivious to feelings and people that care,
It’s easier to switch off, there’s less weight to bare,
An objective to learn and just to survive,
But a need to feel pain, so I know I’m alive.
So many changes have begun to happen,
Many of which I can not fathom,
A Fresh start of life from out the blue,
Feelings and ideas that have grew.
There was that spark of light,
Allowing peace against the fight,
But flames don’t last they always go out,
They ignore fuel and create a drought.
As you close your eyes at night, I watch you while you sleep,
I’m there for you whenever you need,
I hold you while you weep.
Empty, empty, why can’t you see,
The betrayal you put into me.
To feel a love that’s wasn’t real,
Like a safety within a protective seal.
